Girls Softball Tryouts (updated)

  • Due to the snow day, Softball Tryouts have been extended until next week. Again, if you already tried out on Tuesday, there is no need to tryout a second
  • Dates of tryouts:
    • Monday, March 11th, 7am – 6th grade and returning 8th graders
    • Tuesday, March 12th, 7am – 7th graders
  •  Remember to bring your glove if you hae one.
  • It is mandatory to bring a permission slip so please pick one up outside of  room 208.

Congratulations to the girls basketball team, who beat MS 054 yesterday and advanced to the Championship on Saturday!!!

Homework Help

  • Homework help is available to all students on Thursdays. Tutors from Eleanor Roosevelt High School, will be at our school to provide individual help to students. Tutors are available from 2:45 until 4:30pm, in the library. Drop by if you are looking for a little extra help or you just want a quiet space to do your homework. Any questions? Contact our librarian, Ms. Klovekorn: or students can visit her in the library.

Boys’ Volleyball

  • Boys’ volleyball tryouts will be held next week, Wednesday, March 13th, and Thursday, March 14th, at 3:45pm, in the gym.
  • Please see any of the gym teachers for a tryout permission slip.
  • Any students who do not hand in a permission slip during the tryout, will not be allowed to tryout.

New Team at Wagner: Crew

  • Are you interested in crew? Have you ever pictured yourself rowing with a team on the Hudson River? If yes, or even if you just want a great workout, you should try RowNYC. There will be an interest meeting on Friday, March 8th, in the gymnasium.

Reminder: Senior Twin Day is March 8th and Senior Dance is March 22nd. 

City Harvest Food Collection:

  • The Wagner community is invited to help support the efforts of City Harvest, to alleviate hunger in our community.
  • The collection dates are March 11th – 25th.

Wagner's Read-a-thon

    • The Wagner Parents’ Association is happy to announce its’ annual Read-a-thon taking place March 15th – March 29th. 
    • This year it will be a school wide fundraiser. On March 8th, students will receive packages with personalized instruction sheets and directions on how to set-up their online accounts. 
    • Arista credit is available! Students will receive two-hours of Arista credit for submitting one book report to the main office with an attached community service form. 
    • The class with the greatest participation, that raises the most money, and with the most submitted Arista book reports will win an ICE CREAM PARTY!

Scholastic Book Fair

  • Save the date: The Spring Book Fair is going on March 18th – 22nd.
  • Students will visit the book fair with their ELA classes
  • Parents are invited to stop by and shop
  • Students can also shop during lunch or after school
