Auction News! The on-line bidding and teacher treasure bidding is going on. Stay tuned for email going out today, with latest information and request for auction photos. 

Wagner's Read-a-thon:

  • The Wagner Parents’ Association is happy to announce its’ annual Read-a-thon taking place March 15th – March 29th. 
  • This year it will be a school wide fundraiser. On March 8th, students will receive packages with personalized instruction sheets and directions on how to set-up their online accounts. 
  • Arista credit is available! Students will receive two-hours of Arista credit for submitting one book report to the main office with an attached community service form. 
  • The class with the greatest participation, that raises the most money, and with the most submitted Arista book reports will win an ICE CREAM PARTY!

Girls’ Softball Tryouts (Updated):

  • Softball tryouts were originally scheduled for yesterday (March 4th) and today (March 5th). If you came today for the tryouts, that's great and you won't need to return for future tryouts. However, for those of you who missed the tryouts due to the snow day yesterday, Ms. Dyer and Ms. Yodowitz will alert everyone of 2 new tryout dates soon.

New: UFT/DOE Manhattan Special Education Family Empowerment Conference - March 23th, 2019

  • We are one month away from our annual special education family empowerment conference on Saturday, March 23rd from 8:30am-3:00pm at the UFT Conference Center, located at 52 Broadway, 19th floor, New York, NY 10004.  We are thrilled to partner with the UFT to co-present this even to our families.  This conference is intended to empower families to take an active role in the IEP process.

College Access for All: Part II - Parent Workshop, March 13th, 5:30pm-6:45pm 

  • The topics will be:
    • FASFA - what if my income is too high? 
    • Specific scholarships 
    • What you can don now to prepare 

Community Board 8 Student Art Contest

  • Check out an exciting opportunity for students who reside or attend school in the CB8 District. CB8 is coordinating a student art competition. Selected artwork will hang in the local café Tenny and Betsy during much of this spring and winners will receive a certificate from CB8. I have included a flyer with more specific details on the contest below. All Wagner students are eligible to submit.

8th Grade Reminders (repeated from last news blast)

  • Yearbook photos: 8th grade students and faculty who have pictures from trips, activates and other special moments from this year’s graduating students from grades 6-8, are asked to email photos to These photos will be part of the Yearbook. If you have any questions, see Mr. Eldridge.
  • 8th grade Twin Day is Friday, March 8th. 8th grade students are asked to select their twins and dress alike on this day.
  • 8th Grade Dance: March 22nd – The 8th Grade Black and White Dance, 2:45 to 4:30pm.
