DOWN TO THE WIRE
Dear RHM Friends,
  
As 2018 draws to a close, we just want to make one or 2 "down to the wire" appeals to those who might be able or willing to give an end-of-the-year donation to RHM.

Thankfully, the ministry to "persecuted believers" is funded well enough, although there is certainly more which could be done if funds were there. The widows/elderly ministry is also well-funded at this point. It's mostly the HOPE ministry which we could use extra donations for. The HOPE Manna Program is doing fine (widows), but the remainder of the HOPE ministry (boys home, girls home, school) needs more funds.
 
Through November of this year, the average need to maintain the HOPE ministry is at least $4,000 a month, while funds designated for HOPE was less than $2,300 a month. This is the first year in our history that we've had to dip into funds designated for other purposes in order to keep HOPE going. That's a no-no, and we understand that we cannot continue in that manner. So we're praying for His will. Giving in general has been down in 2018, especially lacking the larger donations ("larger" meaning $2,000 and above). Every donation is precious, and enables us to share Christ and do much for the poor here, but without these larger donations, or a larger base of donors in general, we run into tough decisions in regard to cutting back. Who do we stop helping??

Please don't think I'm whining, because I'm really not (read Psalms 131). It's His ministry, not ours, but we still have the responsibility to make these appeals, share the needs, etc. Trusting in our loving Father for all things. He is so amazing!
