2nd & 5th Grade Holiday Concert
December 13
Watch your student at a 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. show. (Arrival times for the evening concert are:
Instrumentalists (band and orchestra) should report to the music room at 6:40 p.m.; All other students should report to their classrooms at 6:45 p.m. Attire is "Sunday Best." If you have any further questions about the concert or would like to visit the 'concert closet' to borrow dress clothes please email Mrs. Zampelli at

Box Top Contest
December 17
Have your child turns in a collection sheet with at least 5 eligible Box Tops on it by the 17th and they will be awarded a participation prize. Each child that submits 25 eligible Box Tops will be entered to win a $10 gift card to Five Below
. One gift card per grade will be awarded.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Cookie Trays
December 20
Cookie trays for teachers and staff will be assembled on Thursday, December 20. If you are able to donate cookies (homemade or store bought), please do so in the main office Tuesday, December 19 or the morning of December 20. We will need volunteers to help assemble & distribute trays. Please sign up here if you can help.

Students & Faculty are encouraged to wear blue & white to show their school spirit.

LDHS Jingle Jam
LDHS Mini-THON will host the
Jingle Jam 5K Run/Walk at Cassel Brookside Farms on Sat., December 15. The silent auction will begin at 9:00am, the race at 11:00am and kids’ fun run at 11:30am. Register on-line before December 10 and receive a free t-shirt on race day. Click here for more information.

Reminder that we are collecting Box Tops for the
"Let it Snow" Box Top Contest. Entries are due Monday, December 17. Clipping, collecting and submitting Box Tops for Education earns our school a substantial amount of financial support each year. We earn $.10 cash for each Box Top collected.
If your child turns in a collection sheet with at least 5 eligible Box Tops on it by the 17th they will be awarded a participation prize. Please check the date on the box top and send in only ones that have not expired.

The PTO will be putting together & distributing our yearly
cookie trays for teachers & staff on Thursday, December 20. The staff looks forward to this tradition each year!
Cookie Donation: As you bake your holiday cookies, please consider making an extra dozen or two to donate for our yearly cookie trays ... we appreciate store-bought cookies, too! There will be a cart in the main office and parent pick-up for cookies drop off on Wednesday, December 19 or the morning of Thursday, December 20.
Cookie Tray Assembly: We also need 5 to 10 volunteers to help assemble and deliver trays on Thursday, December 20 from approximately 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Looking for a great stocking stuffer or teacher appreciation item this holiday season? Check out these options that benefit Mini-THON and JRDF. Just print out the form (found here) and send into to school with payment. Orders are due Friday, December 14.

Highlight a teacher, $1. Print out a tag in the above link and fill out for any teacher. (Don’t forget specials and support staff!) A highlighter will be attached to each tag and delivered to teachers before the holiday break.
