Remember Us This Christmas and End of the Year
December Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings, always in the Precious Name of our Lord JESUS.
Please remember our RHM Blog. Since I am here in India (not in a big city with a good internet connection), there is the continual struggle with trying to keep you in touch with what's going on here through Facebook or email. I've found that the RHM Blog is just as good, and the speed process is so much better. Easily you can share the posts with others on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Gmail. Our desire is to keep you informed, and as those who are interested look at the posts, needs, testimonies, photos and prayer requests, you will be inspired to pray more, support, and possibly share about this ministry with others.
I feel certain that as the Lord's people, if you can see His Heart being carried out toward the needy children and elderly, definitely the Holy Spirit will place something within your hearts. As we've said so many times before: this is His ministry, not ours. No one within RHM takes a salary, so the temptation to use this ministry to fulfill selfish purposes is certainly less. In the midst of this busy life, take time to visit the blog and stay in touch.
THANK YOU to those who have given toward this year's Christmas
Project. It's a little early to tell how much more we may need, but we're close to our desired goal. Praise the Lord! Pray, pray, pray, that our Father will touch many hearts to give donations before the end of the year to RHM. This helps us so much! Compared to 2016 we're down in giving over $50,000. Compared to last year (2017), we're down about $30,000.
Another funding issue: we felt it was critical to change our website donation server, as some of our donors were not able to make their donations, especially via their checking accounts. As a result, unfortunately
all those who were previously set up with monthly recurring donations have to go again to the website's donation page and establish a new monthly recurring donation. Looks like a good opportunity to lose donations, but we're trusting the Lord to again touch your hearts. Without the donor, there is no ministry. Without the faithful prayer partners, there is no ministry. Without those doing the admin or field work, there is no ministry. We are His team (Body), doing His work, for His glory.
The donation page is now much easier, and so far has worked flawlessly. Click onto one of the donation links at the top of this page, and it will take you directly to the donation page you are wanting. If you have any issues for any reason, please contact us via the email address above, and we can help you through the short process.
Pray for the HOPE ministry over the next couple of weeks, as from today (the 9th) until the 24th there are 7 Christmas programs. Five of these programs are in villages where the HOPE girls are leading Sunday School (common term, although often the ministry is not actually on Sunday). Those 5 programs are from the 9th thru the 18th. Then there's the annual HOPE School program on the 22nd, and the HOPE home function on the 24th. It's always a lot of fun for the children (singing, dancing, skits, gifts, snacks...), but we desire so much more than just happiness and entertainment. Most of the children in these village Sunday Schools are from non-Christian homes, and many or most in the school are from either non-Christian or nominal Christian homes where there is very little Christianity actually taught or practiced. So we long for His anointing to break the yokes of religious bondage, and to draw many unto Himself. And in many of these meetings, there will be adult unbelievers who are either in the meeting or on the outskirts, there to watch their children or out of curiosity. Please pray.
Lastly, pray for the ministry we've been connected with for several years in a more volatile part of India. Yet another Christian organization in that area is under investigation for converting unbelievers, and for sexual harassment of girls within their children's homes. Whether there is any truth or legitimacy to these charges, the Lord knows. But just as it happens in America, the media and evil-minded people will use any excuse to try and punish ALL Christians because of the supposed misdeeds of some who profess to be Christians. So the brother running the girls home there is really trying to understand the Lord's will in regard to these things, as radical Hindus are also trying to influence government authorities in that area to shut down all the Christian children's homes. Please pray for them.
Scroll down to see some great photos with captions, filling you in on some of what's happening in ministry here. Don't be offended if we send you a little more info this month than usual. I hope to never be another "spiritual beggar", but am simply making appeals on behalf of those in need of Christ or physical provision. Bless you.
Brother Dan

These are all HOPE girls, Aksha (right, 6 at the time) playing the part of the little girl during last year's Christmas program in the village of Chinthayapalem, still one of 6 villages the HOPE children are involved with leading "Sunday Schools" (although it's not always on Sunday).

For security reasons, can't share many details, but keep these girls and this ministry in your prayers. There is increasing pressure from the government in this area, trying to shut down many or all of the non-Hindu children's homes.
