LD Elementary Day at the Harrisburg Senators Game
May 28 at 11:00 a.m.
The Harrisburg Senators want to welcome Families of the  Lower Dauphin Elementary Schools. The  Elementary School Band’s will perform pre-game & the  Choir will sing the national anthem. Click here to download the form and purchase tickets.

Parent's Book Club
The East Hanover Elementary Parent's Book Club will be starting their second session on Monday - May 7.

We will be reading, "Masterminds & Wingmen" by Rosalind Wiseman-  a book designed for parents about how boys interact with each other and how to help your sons navigate boy world.

Meetings will be from 8:40 - 9:10 a.m. in the school library on the following dates:

+ Monday, May 21
+ Tuesday, May 29 (Memorial day make-up)
+ Monday, June 4* last session

This is Teacher Appreciation Week!
We hope that you join us in celebrating our amazing teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Let's show them they are truly "OUT OF THE PARK!"

Monday, May 7 - "Batter Up" and "Staff All Stars"
We are asking everyone to wear their favorite jersey or baseball hats today. Students can also check out the "About Me" posters located in the hallway and guess which teacher they belong to!
 
Tuesday, May 8 - "Waterbreak"
Refreshments will be provided in the teacher's lounge. And students are encouraged to bring in a water bottle to stay refreshed during class.
 
Wednesday, May 9 - "Touchdown MVP Day"
Wear your favorite football team jersey or shirt to school. And students are encouraged to bring a letter in for telling their favorite teacher or MVP what makes them so special. You can download the MVP letter template here.
 
Thursday, May 10 - "Tailgate Party" **
Ball park favorites will be served in the Teacher's Lounge for all teachers and staff. (**See Below for Sign Ups)
 
Friday, May 11 - "TIME OUT ... for Treats"
Let's fill the Teacher's Lounge with concession stand favorites. (**See Below for Sign Ups)

** We are asking all Kindergarten and 1st grade families to help provide the items in the Teacher's Lounge on Thursday and Friday. Please consider donating an item or two that is listed on our sign up sheet

  • Be an Event-Day Volunteer: Please sign up for a volunteer shift to help set-up, run games, work our bake sale, assist with clean up here

2) Pants (preferably with an elastic waist): Any Size 4T - Youth 14.

A few reminders from Mr. Messinger:
1) Fifth Grade students will be at Camp Hebron Tuesday, May 8 - Thursday, May 10. We wish them a safe and fun week at camp.

2) The Fourth Grade students will host their Wax Museum on Wednesday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend to support their students. They have been working very hard! If you do plan to visit, please sign in at the front office.

3) Information regarding registering your students who are returning to Lower Dauphin schools have been mailed out and you should be receiving these letters soon. Parents & Guardians are asked to fill out the back-to-school paperwork for their returning students by Friday, June 8. This is earlier than in previous years.
2018 Field Day
Field Day is Thursday, June 7 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. We are looking for parent volunteers to help run the superhero themed stations. If you are interested in helping, please email Mrs. Garver at kgarver@ldsd.org by Tuesday, May 22.
